In this article I will tell you that
What is Google Keyword Planner?
How can you create your account in Google Keyword Planner?
How can you best use Google Keyword Planner?
What is Google Keyword Planner?
Google Keyword Planner is a tool with the help of which you can easily find keywords related to any topic.
You can find out not only about keywords but also about how many times that keyword is searched in the entire month, but you should know one thing that this tool has been created keeping Adwords advertisers in mind. This tool has bidding features that are of no use to you.
Before using Google Keyword Planner, you will have to create your account.
How to create an account in Google Keyword Planner?
To use Google Keyword Planner, you must have a Google Adwords Account. If you already have one, you can easily get an account in keyword planner.
Write Google Keyword Planner in the address bar of Google and a page like this will open in front of you.
Create account in Google Keyword Planner

4. Enter your email address in the first box and enter the URL of your website in the second. The URL will be something like this {http://mywhatsapphub.in/}. Then click on no among yes and no. Your account is created.
How to do keyword research with Google Keyword Planner?
1. Now login to Google Adwords Account. Then click on the tools option above, there you will see the option of keyword planner. Click on that option.
Google AdWord Dashboard
2. Then a page will open where there will be some options.

3. Click on {Search for new keywords using a phrase, website or category} at the top and write the keyword there, suppose you want to find out the keywords of Yoga.

4. Do not write “Yoga” at the top, instead write some special short lines related to Yoga {long tail keywords} like what is Yoga? What are the benefits of yoga? I am saying this because if I write only Yoga, then the keywords related to Yoga will come in the list with the most competition and it will be very difficult to get it on the first page of Google.
5. Then write the URL of your website in the next {Your landing page}. Although this option is for those who use Adwords, but by putting the link of your site, you can get very good keywords.
6. The next option is {Your product category}. This can give you those keywords which you might have missed without it. In this you have to write the category of keyword like Yoga comes in health category.
7. After filling all three options, now comes the turn of Targeting audience. In the targeting option, you have to first write the name of the country you are targeting like India or America or China or Australia etc.
If you're targeting the entire world, leave the first one blank. In the second option, write language like Hindi or English or Bengali or Marathi etc. If you are targeting China then write Chinese in the language. After this there is “negative keywords” option. This is for Adwords users, leave it blank.
8. Date range tells you the period between which searches have to be done. For example, if I want to know the searches of Yoga till 2015-2016, then I will not touch that option, but if I want to know only one month like February, then I will write February 2015 - February 2015 and if I want to know some months then I will write from February 2015 to December 2015. l This lets us know about searches at certain times.
9. Now let's come to Customize your search. With this option, you can prevent those keywords from appearing in the list which you do not want, such as those keywords whose searches are 1000 or 2000 per month. You click on the first one and write the minimum number of searches you want keywords for.
10. In the suggested bid, write how much CPC or bid you want, like above 5$$ or 10$$.
11.Ad impr. Share This is for Adwords users. You leave it.
12. Keyword options: Use this option if you want to get some more keywords related to a very distant or other topic. According to me you should leave it as it is.
13. Keywords to Include: In this option you have to write the words which you want in every keyword like I want the word Yoga in every keyword.
14. Get search volume data and trends – This option is useful only when you already have a list of some keywords and you only want to know the monthly searches of those keywords. Just put those keywords in the box and click.
15. Multiply keyword lists to get new keyword ideas – In this Google Keyword Planner mixes many keywords. Although these keywords are mostly strange, sometimes some very good keywords are found.
If you are creating an “E-commerce” website then this is very useful for you. On clicking on Multiply keyword lists to get new keyword ideas, two boxes will open. In the first, enter the keywords you want and in the second, enter some keywords related to it. Like in the first one there are yoga, weight work, to get fair complexion and in the second one there are some asanas. Then just click on “Get search volume”. Then a page like this will open.
16. Now you will be seeing two lists, one will be “Ad group ideas” and the other will be “Keyword ideas”. Most people focus only on “Keyword ideas” and leave out “Ad group ideas”, but do not repeat this mistake. “By clicking on Keyword ideas, you will see a page where in the Search Terms option, you will get the searches for the keywords that you had written like I had written how to do yoga.
Keyword (by relevance) In this you will find keywords related to the keyword written by you like yoga to reduce belly fat, yoga to reduce obesity etc. Avg. In monthly searches, you will know the searches of the month but remember that it does not show exactly equal searches, it is of some range like 2000-5000.
Competition: This option tells how many advertisers bid on this keyword.
Suggested bid: In this you will know on which keyword you can earn maximum.
You must have known what to write in each option.
By clicking on Keyword ideas, you got the keywords but once you look at the ad group ideas also. Click on Ad group ideas, there you get some good ideas and keywords related to keywords under ad group relevance, here you get those good keywords which are not found on keyword ideas.
Now you might be wondering which keywords you should choose. There is a method for this also.
First of all, look at those keywords whose monthly searches are very high, but yes, it is also important to know whether it is easy to bring that keyword to the first page or not. You can find this out with other tools like Semrush or kwfinder.
You know that Google Keyword Planner will tell you about the searches between two periods of time, but that is also quite useful. You can do one more thing, select the keyword about which you want to know by right clicking and click on “add to plan”.
Then click on “Review plan” on the right side and you will know the highest bids of advertisers on your keyword. Another option will be “impressions”, click on it and multiply the number of searches by 30, you will get equal number of searches.
After reading this post, you just have to write a post on that keyword.
Hope you know how to use Google Keyword Planner.
